A bunch of friends from myriad professions(Doctors, Engineers, Chartered Accountants, MBAs…so on and so forth) who came together in 2014 to contribute, and touch people’s lives, in every little way we could.
Hamari Udaan, a non-profit, non-government organisation, was borne of our shared passion, and happens to be the umbrella under which we do what we do.

We are not an NGO, we are a collection of self-driven people who want to bring about a change in people’s attitude by improving education, by trying to eradicate & eliminate hunger, to the best of our limited abilities, and by providing basic living conditions to our senior citizens. Hamari Udaan has no permanent leader, there are no perpetual followers. We work with consensus. Different people, different styles of working, different ideas, different strategies. But the end-objective remains the same; whatever we do should be of some value to a fellow human being.

We believe that right to education, right to healthcare and right to a better living are the three fundamental rights which each and every citizen of this country must have access to. Reason why our focus is on education, healthcare and old age support. We believe that these really are the areas where most work needs to be done, and at the same time, these are also the areas where a smallest hand of support can go a long way in making a huge difference to their lives.
Hence we intend to provide the following:
Right To Education
We attempt to nurture, and ensure that underprivileged children, our future world citizens, are well educated, knowledgeable and have the capability to stand on their own feet.
Healthcare For Everyone
In our country, many still do not have access to this basic facility, for a myriad of reasons. We hope to tackle this at two levels. Firstly, by assisting people to utilize the present infrastructure, helping them to cross financial and/or other obstacles. Secondly, by presenting a new template for effective healthcare for everyone.
Make the ‘sunset years/second innings of life’ truly golden
Our last area of focus is our senior citizens. As the body grows old, it faces numerous challenges, while its capability to deal with those challenges declines steadily. Loneliness, one of the modern day challenges, is one of them, making the aged exceptionally vulnerable.
